What is a velomobile?

A velomobile is a human-powered vehicle related to the bicycle, for everyday use, with a body/shell that provides aerodynamics, comfort, weather protection and luggage space.

Indy Area Bike Paths

Indianapolis and its northern suburbs are a biker's dream. There are miles and miles of well-maintained bike paths, starting with the Monon Trail, a linear park built on the old Monon Railway line. Today, it runs 27 miles, from downtown Indianaplis all the way up through Carmel, Westfield, and into Sheridan. Commuters can get from the suburbs to a downtown job almost as quickly on a bike as in a car, and feel a lot better when they get there. The Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick, is an 8.1-mile-long urban shared-use path and linear park located in the downtown Indy. Both of those trails include connections and bike paths that allow a rider to get all around Indy and the northern suburbs without ever having to share a road with cars (or big lifted pickup trucks)

National Bicycle Greenway

Indy is also the home of the National Bicycle Greenway, a project to connect cities coast to coast for bike riders. Read more about it at https://bikeroute.com
